It was a great privilege to represent Theatre and Performance on the Next Wave Curatorial Advisory Committee for Kickstart 2013. We read 150 applications, spent two days in discussions and agreed on one final list, which you can see here:

What is Kickstart?

Next Wave’s Kickstart program is money, time and space for artists to dream larger than they ever have before. Now in its twelfth year, Kickstart remains unique in Australia for its multi-faceted approach, depth and scale. Artists participating in Kickstart 2013 build skills for sustainable artistic careers. Our development intensives focus on financial management, fundraising, innovative marketing and media relations. Artistically, we cover cross-artform collaboration, site-specificity, creative resilience, problem solving, interpersonal and leadership skill development, feedback methodology and documentation.
The 2013 Kickstart program will take place between February and September 2013, culminating in a work-in-progress showing of each project to an audience of peers, stakeholders and other Kickstart artists.
